That was absolutely amazing experience! All of the dishes were delicious! Atmosphere of a real Italian restaurant! And of course outstanding service from Kasey! Thank you for the unforgettable moment for my family!!!

White table cloth authentic Italian in the heart of downtown SLC. Grabbed a seat at the bar because they were fully booked even on a Wednesday evening at 530! Once seated, everyone is given bruschetta to start. My waiter was very friendly and offered recommendations. I got the pollo Della casa and it was delicious! Very light, and great lemon flavor that wasn't over powering. It was served with risotto and fresh mushrooms. They also bring out (on the house) a small teacup of decadent chocolate sauce with an Italian cookie to dip it in. Yummy! A bit on the pricier side (for just myself the total bill including tip was $50) but it was definitely worth it! I'd also like to note they only use EVOO and butter to cook - no seed oils which in my book is reason enough to eat here!

Valter's Osteria delivers a rare blend of fine dining with a twist of a warm, homey ambiance that makes you feel like a special guest in a friend's kitchen. The moment we were seated, the exceptional service began--the staff was attentive, and our server's deep knowledge of the menu ensured we had an amazing first experience. It felt like a feast that just kept unfolding, and I loved every bit of it. We were treated to a complimentary bruschetta to start, followed by freshly baked bread paired with a unique dipping sauce while we waited for our appetizers. Each course was brought out with such care, and I especially loved the tableside touch of our server plating our dishes--adding a personal flair that made the meal feel extra special. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, they surprised us with biscotti and melted chocolate to end our meal on the perfect sweet note. The food was superbly fresh, from the rich flavors of the spaghetti carbonara to the tender chicken piccata. The pasta e fagioli originale was warm and comforting, and the Zuppa Cotta added a delicious rustic element to the meal. Even after enjoying so many incredible courses, I left feeling pleasantly full but not overstuffed, a sign of truly high-quality ingredients. I can't recommend this experience enough--make sure to try the gelato to end your night with the perfect taste of Italy. Valter's is truly a standout in Salt Lake City, where you'll be both well-fed and well-taken care of!

My boyfriend and I came for a a celebratory dinner. It was SO GOOD. It was true fine dining, had incredible service, and the food was just incredible. Everything was memorable. The restaurant is classic fine dining vibes but they nailed it with what they were trying to be. You can tell there is a legacy there that they are proud of keeping. We ordered based on the waiter's recommendations and enjoyed everything throughly. Even though we were stuffed after the mains, we could not resist trying their amazing limoncello dessert. That dessert was mind blowing. I would go back even if to just have that dessert. The prices are high, but we will definitely be back again for another celebratory dinner.

Apparently, Valter's Osteria is "THE spot" to visit while in Salt Lake City. Upon entering, there is a who's who photo wall of all of the celebrities who have dined at this location. How do you know an Italian spot is legit? You can hardly understand your waiter over his thick Italian accent lol. Even the menu had super legit names, not your typical "spaghetti and meatballs". We came in with a group of 6, and everyone had a great experience and loved their food. Our server was very friendly and had a thick Italian accent. I swear, sometimes we ordered something he suggested not being 100% sure what we ordered, good thing everything on the menu was great. This restaurant is centrally located, and close to most everything Downtown. FOOD: With a group of 6, everyone ordered something different and loved their meals which says a lot about the menu. There was complimentary bread and dipping sauce, which was so delicious that everyone struggled to not fill up before our meal came out. We started with the sampler of Daily Homemade Gnocchi and Ravioli, "LE PASTE FATTE IN CASA TUTTA PASTA DI VALTER". This dish was a (5/5) and a great was to sample a variety of their menu options. Everyone especially loved the gnocchi. My husband ordered the cheese ravioli aka "RAVIOLI 4 FORMAGGI" which came with Fresh Homemade Ravioli in a Four Cheese Cream Sauce with Asparagus. I gave this dish (5/5) and definitely took more than a couple pieces from my husband's plate. I ordered the SPAGHETTI CARBONARA which I gave a (5/5). The dish consisted of Spaghetti with Homemade Pancetta in an Egg, Cream, Onion, and Parmesan Sauce. This dish had great flavor, though I initially thought it could use a little salt. I loved the actual pasta, tasted legit/authentic. Fantastic dish! Last, but not least, dessert! Lemon gelato with honey dessert was made tableside, bonus points for the show, and served in a martini looking glass. It was very sweet, but delicious and refreshing. I ordered the tiramisu which wasn't the best I've had, but fluffy and tasted good. We were also served complimentary biscotti with chocolate to dip, such a great was to finish the meal. Overall a great experience, and a must stop spot when you visit SLC.

It was my last night in SLC and I wanted to good dinner to wrap up the trip. Thankfully, it was great that Valter's Osteria was able to meet my expectation. Despite doing a walk-in, my friend and I were able to get seated after a small wait. This restaurant was more fancy, so I'd recommend dressing up a bit to not feel out of place. While reviewing the menu, we noticed it was a large and extensive menu that made it a bit overwhelming. However, shoutout to our waiter, Jacob who was able to give us recommendations that catered to what we were feeling. In between dishes, they did bring out complimentary breads, snacks, and desserts. I didn't get the specific item names down, but all items left me wanting more. The staff there was also very efficient and cleared out the dishes and utensils as we finish. For main dish, I got the Scaloppine Di Vitello Al Limone Con Capperi and Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was flavorful and in good portion. Shoutout again to Jacob. If I'm in SLC, I'll definitely pay Valter's Osteria a visit again.

Visiting a good buddy in Salt Lake City, it had been a few years, he recommended Valter's Osteria as the finest restaurant in town, and he was correct! The cuisine was excellent Italian fare. Along with drinks and appetizers, for main courses we had the "Pasta al Forna Vera" homemade lasagna, and "Nana In Porchetta Savinese" crusted duck breast in cognac and grape sauce. (Pictured Below) The dishes were amazing, as was the feel and ambiance of the restaurant, but what really stood out was the service. Easily on par with any of the finest restaurants I've been to. The attention to detail was evident in the greetings from the Valet outside to the Maitre D'. Timing was impeccable, from when the table was touched, to each drink and course coming out. It was an incredible dining experience, and if I'm ever in Salt Lake City again, will look forward to another dinner service.

The ambiance was amazing! The ratio of staff to diners seemed very high and our server, Luigi, was knowledgeable and attentive. I had the prix fixe menu, which is generous so I shared with my two friends, who ordered smaller dishes so we could share. One had the pasta sampler (two of the four pastas are included in the prix fixe), and the other had the fresh made fettuccine with the house bolognese. The dessert (lemon & Chocolate gelato with the prix fixe) and friends ordered the lemon gelato with local honey and sea salt - wowza! Next time I'm in town, this spot will be a go to, especially with that magical lemon gelato. Reservations are a must! I was told that they are often booked out by conference attendees, so reserving in advance is helpful.
